One time, two times, three times, four times, five times, many, many times. It is the number of times required to attain a habit, to make a thing or a value your way of living. Leadership and values are not acquired once at a time, it is done many, many times so it will become part of your system. You will not think how to be honest, industrious and nationalistic; it will come to you naturally if you make it a habit.
Not every one of us has the qualities of honesty, industry and nationalism. As leaders, we are responsible to influence the people and put those values in their systems. But before the process, we must put it in our own system. We must not be silent about the dishonesty, injustice, corruption, etc...Of others even if we are not like that. All of us have the responsibility for others.
Attaining honesty, industry and nationalism in all of us, productivity will follow. The people will be happy to work for the good of our country; the people will move to help each and everyone. The people will remove their negative characteristics and change it to positive. The people will go towards the progressive Philippines.
Selfishness is a big blockage to improvement. Being concerned and sensitive to the people around you is the answer to our dysfunctional system. Always remember H.I.N (Honesty, Industry and Nationalism) that will make us a better nation.
